Cheryl Lyon-Jenness

Cheryl Lyon Jenness is currently an assistant professor of history at Western Michigan University. She holds degrees in English and biological sciences and a Ph.D in history. Her research interests and writing have focused on environmental history and material culture studies. An avid gardener, Lyon Jenness has also worked as a museum curator and as an interpretive naturalist. For Shade and For Comfort reflects the author's longstanding interest in people, plants, and environmental change.
