Emily Esterson

Emily Esterson has been a journalist and writer for 15 years, beginning her career with a freelance story she sold to Colorado Business Magazine. She has worked as freelance writer for many years, contributing to the Boulder Daily Camera, Expansion Management and Colorado Business Magazine. She joined Natural Foods Merchandiser in the early 1990s, and worked as a writer and senior editor of the popular trade magazine. She left Natural Foods Merchandiser in 1997 for the big city, landing an associate editorship for Inc. Technology Magazine in Boston. She moved back to the west in 1999, to lead the New Mexico Business Weekly to several prestigious editorial awards during her six year tenure. Her freelance work has appeared in Business Week, Consultants News, the Improper Bostonian, Delicious Magazine, Dressage Today, Equus, John Lyons Perfect Horse, Fortune Small Business and many others. Emily has an MBA from University of Denver and has Masters in Fine Arts in Nonfiction. She teaches writing at the University of New Mexico, and private workshops with Anne Hillerman's Wordharvest in Santa Fe.
