Aims and Scope

Education and Culture takes an integrated view of philosophical, historical, and sociological issues in education. It is the official journal of the John Dewey Society, founded in 1935, which draws its inspiration from the work of the philosopher, psychologist, and educational reformer who died in 1952. Submissions of Dewey scholarship, as well as work inspired by Dewey’s many interests are welcome. John Dewey Society members receive the journal as part of their membership in the society. Education and Culture is supported by the Daniel Tanner Endowment Fund. From 2013 onward, content published prior to a three year moving wall is available free-of-charge at http://docs.lib.purdue.edu/eandc/. The version of record of the three most recent years is only accessible to Project Muse subscribers.
